My parents really do so much for me. In one year, they gave me the freedom to choose the colleges that I wanted to apply to, bought my ticket to explore Seattle University for a once in a lifetime opportunity, took me to Long Beach, supported me at Chico State, drove me to SAT day four times in a row, waited for me when I took my college placement test, drove me to get what I wanted and needed, let me express my frustrations, listened to my problems, went along with my imagination, supported me for all of the decisions that turned out to be bogus in the end, tried to make it to most of my important events even when they were busy as heck, kept me warm in the cold, put food on the table for me everyday, let me watch my t.v. shows even when it should have been their turn to watch, let me learn from my mistakes, told me what's right from wrong over and over again, warned me about the crooked roads ahead of me, provided money for my education and daily necessities, let me grow, nurtured me into the goody-two-shoes that I am today, and have never forgotten about me . Now this one year is about to conclude, and to think that it has been this way for not pretty much, but my entire life, I must really be blind if I cannot see how courageous and amazing they are as my parents by now. They truly are the real role models that I should admire in my life. Despite how often we as kids, can easily get irritated and throw angry fits and unreasonable protests at our parents, we should always remember that we only have one set of real birth parents and if we don't treasure our valuable time with them now when we have the chance, we could possibly run out of time tomorrow. In order to live life with no regrets, we should learn to appreciate what's ahead of us and not take anything or anyone for granted. So if you or I ever feel like throwing a fit again, let both of us remember that we must learn to always forgive because "When we get there, the forgiveness we achieve will be a forgiveness worth having." -Oprah
So here's something to think about: When was the last time you thanked your parents for something that they've done for you?
Well, goodnight Bloggers. I have school in 7 hours and a bike to fix in 15 hours.
