thoughts on my mind

I hope I get to see all three of these films I posted below someday. So I just have to say that I am so psyched to see the foreign film The Thorn in the Heart someday, not only because that one surprising scene in the trailer where the little kids wear invisible costumes will probably just blow my mind away, but because it will be about Michel Gondry's family! He is one of my favorite French writers and directors so far and I love his work; I just know that I am going to be flabbergasted by this next film I see in the future. I really enjoyed watching the two phenomenal movies that he directed and helped write: The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep. I fell in love with The Science of Sleep because everything was just so uniquely and artistically done. Just thinking about the crazy bath scenes with colorful cellophane sheets, the parts with the vibrant tall paper buildings and monuments flapping up and down, the winter-y snowflakes sweaters and hats worn, and the cardboard furniture sets and television boxes, all still make me want to live in their world of robotic lights, high-tech bike helmet telepathic communication wear, flamboyant swirly art prints, and blue cellophane sheets water. I just love catching random artistic sparks in movies like Michel Gondry's works. They are pure masterpieces. Watching creative artsy films are definitely what I make as my sweet escape after a long day or week of hard work.

As for the second trailer, I would like to see it because elderly folks always make me smile and what Tom and Gerri have in the trailer seem to hold this strawberry-sweet, passionate relationship that I admire very much. Also, I just know that this movie might kind of remind me of that one good feeling I felt when I watched Is Anybody There in Berkeley.

I would like to see Waiting for Superman because it looks like a moving documentary that should in fact be pledged to be watched because you never know what you could be experiencing tomorrow if you do not appreciate what you have today. Some people like those kids who are isolated in the trailer have to be picked out of the lottery and pray by luck that they will get chosen to get better educational plans during the most desolating moments. When times are bleak, it's not fair to the determined and hardworking students to not be able to pursue their career goals and dreams; they don't deserve to have their education jeopardized, but unfortunately life cannot please everyone at their desirable needs. (Note to self: This is something that just has to be brought up in my Seattle essay for next week--to mention that education is key).

I downloaded Adam!! We should watch it together. Here I will copy + paste a little bit of the plot.

The film follows the relationship between a young man named Adam (Hugh Dancy) with Asperger syndrome and the woman of his dreams, Beth ( Rose Byrne). Mayer was inspired to write the film's script when he heard a radio interview with a man who had Asperger's.
