I'm officially back home from my trip to SoCal. This weekend, I went down to visit Long Beach and gave myself a self-guided tour around the disneyland-big campus. The campus looked pretty decent and the summery air felt pretty nice. The thing is, when you are in SoCal, you're literally walking on sunshine almost everyday; but when it gets cold, it gets freezing icy chilly. Luckily on Friday afternoon, my dad drove around with no complaints and I got to catch a glimpse of the beach life for two hours or so. Afterward, we were off to visit family/relatives. We stayed at the Hilton Anaheim hotel for two nights, which was literally right across the street from the Disneyland theme parks. How interesting, because I was just there a few weeks ago with the band, and boy did that bring  back quite a few funny memories. On early Saturday morning, I went to IHOP with my parents and we ordered hearty plates of breakfast before we headed off to my mom's real cravings: Kohl's stores. In the afternoon, we stopped by a small and cute Farmer's Market (one of our family's favorite places to go to during the weekends) and bought a few weaved bracelets for friends and took a few pictures of farm animals. When night time rolled by, the three of us and my dad's relatives went to a delicious Thai Cuisine called Jumpa Thai. The food was pretty darn amazing in its own authentic tastes. And I thought it was funny how right next door it was Jamba Juice, because okay Jumpa, Jamba, Jumpa, Jamba. Who wouldn't have fun saying the two words back and forth? (Fine, not everyone, so feel free to not read anymore from here because I am 101 percent strange). This morning, I had a Vietnamese sandwich for breakfast, and sat in the car for a long 5-6 hours before we were finally all the way back to Gilroy's premium outlets, city of heavy garlic smell. To my surprise, Gilroy finally opened its very own Forever21 store, and praying for years that it would happen, today I finally saw it open. To my surprise again, Anne told me that she was actually there the same time I was, and that her brother saw me but was only 70 % sure that it was me in the same store. What a coinky dink.
From this trip, I realized that I still cannot make my decision on which state school I would like to attend for the next fall term. But hopefully I will know as soon as April comes to an end. SoCal, NorCal, SoCal, NorCal.... I think I will need to pluck something fast to figure something like this out this time. Not. I'm hoping that I will just know when the time is right.
Thank goodness school starts late tomorrow due to Star Testing week. Hallelujah. Now I have got to get my show and tell presentation together. It's time to bring out my Babar the elephant toy. A few random pictures will be posted up soon.
