My dad treated me to a new set of dark cork brown-ish bike grip tape because I said I was getting kind of tired of gripping the same black bike grip tape I've always had. Yes.... finally. All my road bike needed was a bit of a touch up with the lower gears and a front wheel tube replacement. But I've always known that my frame was a little bit crooked ever since the day I bought it off Craigslist and ever since I had that major bike accident. So now I have to be extra careful... No more trying to keep up the same speed as Calvin. Well, my mom is still in the process of thinking about letting me get that baby blue beach cruiser from Costco. I know you're thinking like Costco???? Well yes, Costco holds good stuff, my friends. If I ever do get that cruiser baby, maybe I could possibly take both my orange road bike and the baby blue beach cruiser to college, and switch off depending on my mood of ride. Oh I like to dream.
While I waited for my bike to get fixed up on this busy crowded Monday, I roamed around downtown and picked up some steals. I purchased three pairs of vintage earrings and two used books that really caught my eye. One of them I'm especially excited to read because it's by Augusten Burroughs, the author of Running with Scissors, one of my favorite books. There's something about his style of writing and sensational emotional tense attitude that I just simply adore. Ah, too excited. Then again, I have a pile of library books I randomly checked out from the past few weeks back to back that are collecting dust. But no, yeah things are going to get pretty interesting within my imagination as soon as this week comes to a solid end.
Right now, I am longing for the beach and I cannot wait until Spring Break. If there were to be a magic bus around here ( I could care less if it were a school bus- or to make things even better, a magic school bus), to take us to the beach from where I live, things would be sweet as strawberries right now. Tonight, I am stuck reading the Fast Food Nation book to get ahead for my Social Problems class. I'll upload random pictures as soon as I find the drive to because right now, I am living in my brother's room, using his desk like it's my own property, and temporary borrowing his computer. My room is currently my storage room because my own computer broke a few days ago. Sad to say, but when the computer breaks, .... okay I shouldn't finish this sentence. I admit, I need technology to live, but I can equally survive just fine in the wild alright. Maybe. Watch out for lions and tigers and bears!
Reading time.
