i made it back

A part of me can't believe that the SAT is over for good. Another part of me can believe that it all happened in a quick blink of an eye. I know I signed and agreed to not expose any SAT material until after the scores are released, but I kind of have to bring something up. Today I thought I was going to write about Jane Eyre and not Martin Luther King, Jr., but I ended up writing about how technology affects today's society by the many uses of various communicative devices and habitual temptations to click away to online web sites. There's more to this, but I think I should stop here before I get arrested.

After the SAT, I went home and stared at the Christmas lights in my room for quite awhile. I realized how much happier I have gotten since I have put them up. In the passing hour, all I could think about was getting more Christmas lights to hang around my room. Before I knew it, time flew by and Laurie, Tiff, Lin, and I were off to see the new Disney movie Tangled. During the movie, Laurie mentioned how she wanted a boyfriend now because of how sweet Eugene was in the movie. Oh Laurie, she is such a funny person.

So I realized that my brother and I are very much alike in that we both like musicals very much. I think he would have liked the songs in the movie. Or at least I hope that he would. After the movie, we went to the Mogo Fundraiser for NHS. By going to the fundraiser, I earned myself five easy points for NHS by purchasing a chicken burrito. Let me just be honest; I didn't think it was the greatest invention of food ever compared to what others say about the food. But I like that they accept nick names when you order your food. Dan's name was Shooting Star. The thing is that my wilderness name from fifth grade was Shooting Star at Camp Walden West. Well, what do you know. The best friends have once again rejoiced with the same name.

P.S. Sometimes I wish we lived in sky high towers and castles like Rapunzel with natural surroundings of peace and tranquility all around. But I guess we do have that some place around here minus the high towers and castles. That's the Barbie life.
