before 2011 comes

I went to a seafood buffet with my family this afternoon and coincidentally saw Michelle and her family there. I remember mentioning that I was never a fan of buffets on my old blog, and I still hold true to that statement today. It's just difficult to get food when there's always people crowding in front of me and I am waiting patiently to eat when people just keep cutting and cutting. Sometimes, I can get claustrophobic easily, and others not so much. The best part of my day was giving my grandma a scoop of their strawberry ice cream. She didn't know what it was, but she said it tasted good and was happy; so that made everything all the better.

Kimmy's birthday dinner plan was canceled, and it just so happened that I told Anh, Joy, and Vivian that I was busy tonight; all of that left me feeling kind of bummed out once again for realizing that I canceled on all previous separate plans for an event that canceled itself in the end (sorry if that sounded confusing). But things didn't turn out so bad because in the mean time, my mom tried teaching me how to use her antique sewing machine, Jennifer and I had a small crazy photo shoot with the glittery 2011 glasses that Anh gave me a week ago on Christmas Eve, and I left myself some time to watch the amazing cartoon Adventure Time. Speaking of that show, I think the drawings are fantastic and the show itself is hilarious. A kid stays a kid forever. But I recall Mr. Cava saying that he would never ever, ever allow his two children to watch this inappropriate show. It's not like Family Guy or anything, but I suppose I'd have to agree that it's funnier to watch at my age because it's more understandable now that I watch it. So below these last two posts, you can see that Jennifer stitched up two Finns. She made one for herself, and one for my brother. Finn is the main character in Adventure Time, and he is only 12. I think he is the cutest boy ever. I think Princess Bumblegum is so smart as well. I want to live in their Candyland and have dance parties with Slime Princess and Jake the dog. They literally dance in every episode-- it's too adorable because their dancing reminds me of jellyfishes.

So for the past few days, I have been intensely knitting, stitching, and reading more articles regarding the Methamphetamine issues in small rural areas. It's not working hard or hardly working because it's just working hard, and I am glad that I am continuing to make use of my time. I was thinking earlier that this Christmas break seems so lengthy because I have literally been staying up until 3-4 AM with Jennifer and my brother every day. No regrets. I get super tired and major headaches, but all of the fun things we've done together made a great well-spent break altogether.

2010 has treated us all with major ups and downs, and now I believe that we are all ready for a new year to come in about a half hour on my clock (except for half of the world that already experienced the beginning of 2011). Hopefully I will form my new resolutions over breakfast with Sherry tomorrow--a breakfast tradition that we will now forever continue every New Years Day at iHop.

Cheers to a New Year.
